Poco may launch a gaming laptop in India in near future
Poco is looking to expand its product range in India with a laptop in the near future. It is exciting to wait and see if it is just a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15 laptop launched in China earlier this year.
Having become an independent brand in India, the Chinese brand has earned a considerable share in the smartphone market in order to show for it this year. Now, Poco is looking to expand its product range in India with a laptop (or maybe laptop range) soon. it was rumored earlier that the brand will launch its first truly wireless earbuds this year.
According to a new listing on the Bureau of Indian Standards certification website, two battery models have been entered under Poco and Xiaomi, including R15B02W and R14B02W. But it will be interesting to see if it is just a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15 laptop that was launched in China earlier this year. The company has done it on several occasions and might go with it again in India.
Taking into consideration the need for gaming laptops having increased over the years, Poco may attempt to bring a more affordable offering to the smartphone market which has been the unique selling proposition of the brand.
The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15 sports a 15.6-inch Full HD display with 81.5% screen-to-body ratio saying that it’s not trying to be too sleek with minimum possible bezels and will come with Windows 10 Home pre-installed. Under the hood, it will also pack the 10th generation Core i7-10510U processor. The RAM can go up to 16GB with storage up to 1TB SSD. It will have the Nvidia GeForce MX350 GPU with 2GB of GDDR5 RAM indicating that it is not produced for hardcore gamers.
It will be provided with a 60WHr battery which should offer the user six to seven hours on a full charge based on the usage. In terms of the connectivity department, it will have dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.0. It will also include an HDMI port, two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, an SD card slot, and the 3.5mm headphone jack.
